About the Ebook

The Silent House of Sleep introduces Dr Jack Cuthbert — tall, urbane, brilliant, but deeply scarred by his experiences in the trenches. Now working as a pathologist with Scotland Yard, he is the most gifted investigator the new DCI has ever encountered. But Cuthbert is a man who carries secrets, and the ghosts of war still follow him.

When two bodies are discovered in a London park in 1929, Cuthbert is drawn into a case that will test every skill he possesses. As he unravels the mystery, he is forced to confront not only the truth behind the deaths, but the darkness within himself.

Atmospheric, meticulously researched and psychologically rich, this debut novel marks the beginning of a powerful new historical crime series set between the wars.
