About the Author
Dane Love – Historian, Folklorist, and Ayrshire Author
Dane Love lives in the Ayrshire countryside and has written over thirty books on Scottish subjects, including history, folklore, and the supernatural. His deep knowledge of Scotland’s landscapes and traditions informs every page of his work.
A teacher at Irvine Royal Academy, he spends much of his free time travelling across Scotland gathering stories, researching local legends, and uncovering forgotten histories. He is the Honorary Secretary of the Scottish Covenanter Memorials Association, a member of the Ayrshire Archaeological and Natural History Society, and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland.
His passion for Scottish heritage extends to his own ancestry, which he has traced back to Robin Love — a Jacobite who fought at Prestonpans and Culloden.
